During the pandemic, people have been craving not only human interaction but activities that can be done social distancing safely. One of the popular local activities is wrestling. We have some great local talent at wrestling events and whenever the WWE came to town the events were sure to be close to sell-outs every time. The last WWE house show was held back in September of 2019 and wrestling fans have been sorely missing the high-energy action of a live event. Now, our very own hometown hero Cinta de Oro (formerly WWE's Sin Cara) is bringing wrestling back to the Sun City.

2020 Lucha Palooza in the Desert is a drive-in wrestling event is happening tomorrow night at the El Paso County Coliseum. The former WWE superstar will be resurrected as Cinta de Oro alongside Los Colon, two talented wrestlers who also hailed from the WWE roster. Los Colon is made up of former WWE superstars and brothers Primo and Epico. This is a drive-in event and there will be 2 massive screens for you to see the wrestling match on and the event will also be live-streamed so you can pay and watch it at home from the comfort of your couch as well. During the wrestling event's intermission, fans will be treated to a live musical performance by Grammy-nominated artist Frankie J.

If you would like to attend this event in person, tickets are sold per car, and each vehicle can have up to 4 people inside. People must be seated in a belted seat to get into the Coliseum's grounds. Additional passenger tickets will be available at the door on the day of the show. To enter the Coliseum's grounds, attendees must be wearing masks. If people leave their designated area for any reason they will need to be in masks. Wrestling fans can also bring lawn chairs to sit outside of their cars and enjoy the show. The chairs must be set up inside of your designated parking spot.
