Elon Musk Chooses THIS Texas Location as X’s New Home
Elon Musk is on the move again, and this time he's setting up shop in Central Texas!
The billionaire behind Tesla, SpaceX, and X (formerly known as Twitter) is making Bastrop, Texas, the new headquarters for X.
That's right, Musk is trading California’s sunshine for Texas heat, just 34 miles east of Austin.
According to Forbes, paperwork was quietly filed by company executives to lock down this spot. If you didn’t know, Bastrop is also home to some of Musk's other big projects like SpaceX, the Boring Company, and the Boring Bodega. Oh, and there's a new X safety center coming too!
The new HQ address has already been updated in some official company documents.
According to X real estate director Nicole Hollander, the Austin office employees will soon pack up and move to Bastrop. Looks like Texas is becoming Musk’s new tech playground!
Bastrop is known as the “Heart of the Lost Pines”
Batrop is a small town rich in Texas charm and history. With a population of just over 9,000 people, it’s becoming an unexpected tech hub thanks to Musk’s growing influence.
Situated along the Colorado River, the area is famous for its scenic parks, historical downtown, and, of course, the nearby SpaceX facilities that have put this quiet town on the global map.
This is all part of Musk’s big shift away from California, where he had been frustrated with the state's regulations.
Moving to Texas, a state with no income tax and a more business-friendly climate, seems to be part of his plan to continue expanding his tech empire.
