Here’s How to Capture an El Paso Chihuahuas Mandalorian Baby Yoda Jersey
Mandalorians who have been tasked with hunting down a specialty El Paso Chihuahuas Star Wars jersey can begin their mission now.
The team will celebrate the intergalactic movie and television franchise by taking the field this Saturday, April 29, wearing jerseys inspired by The Mandalorian streaming series.
But what has Padawans geeking out most is the specialty jersey auction.
The Bounty Hunting Bidding Has Begun
The special game night jerseys, featuring Baby Yoda -- who I’m told by Star Wars nerds, er, I mean, enthusiastic fans, is not a baby or a Yoda -- will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting United Way of El Paso County.
Per the team’s social media post, the auction for game-worn and signed Star Wars jerseys is underway.
To bid on a jersey, text “BID” 915-600-6677. The auction concludes with the final out on Saturday night. You do not need to be present to win.
The Force Returns to the Ballpark Saturday
The night will feature character appearances and photo opportunities with a couple of local Star Wars costuming organizations, and a post-game Star Wars themed Fireworks Spectacular choreographed to John Williams’ franchise score.
So, buy your single game tickets, dust off your light saber, put on your Spock ears and take your nerdy self downtown Saturday. Like Yoda once said, “Do or do not. There is no try.”
