Erling Haaland Is Making It Easy to Cheer for Norway

If there was ever any doubt that Erling Haaland enjoyed his time in Texas, it's probably gone now.

Just hours after leading Norway to another World Cup victory in Dallas, one of soccer's biggest stars traded his cleats for cowboy boots, picked out a Stetson and walked out of a Dallas western store looking like he'd been here his whole life.

At this point, I think it's safe to say Texas can officially claim another honorary resident.

Dallas Turned Erling Haaland Into a Cowboy

Fresh off Norway's historic World Cup win over Ivory Coast, Haaland wasn't finished making memories in Texas.

Instead of heading straight out of town, the 25-year-old made a stop at Wild Bill's Western Store in downtown Dallas, where he got the full Texas treatment.

The Norway superstar was fitted for a gray Stetson, picked out cowboy boots, added a longhorn belt buckle and even had his initials and jersey number branded onto his new gear.

Of course, the real show-stealer was the T-shirt that read, "Y'all Can Kiss My Dallas."

Haaland later shared photos and video of his cowboy makeover on social media with a simple caption:

"Howdy!"

One Dallas Shopping Trip Turned Into a Viral Moment

Haaland's post didn't just make fans laugh, it gave one Dallas business an unexpected boost.

Wild Bill's owners say the Norway striker's visit brought in millions of views online, and almost overnight, shoppers started asking for the same shirt Haaland wore.

The store says it's nearly sold out of the now-viral "Y'all Can Kiss My Dallas" shirt and has even seen more Texans stopping by, something that's unusual considering most of their customers are tourists.

With Team USA and Mexico Out, Norway Might Be Texas' New Team

One of my favorite parts about this World Cup has been watching international fans and players embrace Texas.

First, Japanese supporters won people over with their kindness and appreciation for Texas culture.

Then Norwegian fans started sharing their adventures across the Lone Star State.

Now, the biggest Norwegian star in the world has gone full cowboy.

Sure, it probably doesn't hurt that Haaland is one of the best players on the planet. But seeing someone with millions of fans genuinely enjoy a little slice of Texas makes it hard not to root for him.

And with Team USA now out of the tournament and Mexico falling to England, I think I've found my new World Cup team!
