In El Paso, peeps love to judge each other by what high school they went to and they'll argue/fight over any accolade.

In El Paso, those high school rivalries live way beyond those 4 crazy, coming of age years. Many are generational with elementary and junior high kids already hating on somebody and full grown adults still throwing blows over teenage grudges.

I didn't care about this kind of stuff when I was IN high school, let alone a few decades later. It's fun to watch people get riled up though so, once in a while, I'll go there.

Honestly though, I don't think this subject will generate as many social media dumpster fires as things like best team, best band, smartest, etc, etc. In fact, I think this may be the ONLY, high school related, bragging right everyone will agree on.

  • It was also a pioneer in Texas, becoming the first stadium in the state to have permanent outdoor lighting for sporting events and hosting the state's inaugural Friday night football game in 1928.
  • R.R. Jones Stadium played a significant role in the history of the Sun Bowl, hosting the first three games from 1935 to 1937. - (EPTimes)
