Don’t you just hate it when those pesky Dallas cops get in the way of your grab and dash beer run? 

All kidding aside, it blows my mind at how bold thieves are these days. Rather than try to hide whatever it is they’re trying to steal and hope no one sees them, they do their thing right there in front of God and everybody. 

It’s been years since I worked in retail, but people I know who have recently told me that at the places they worked employees are instructed not to intervene when they see someone shoplifting. Instead, they’re told to call the police and let them handle it.

So, I figure in most cases the shoplifters are able to get away while the police are on their way to the scene. Unless, of course, the police happen to be nearby. Seeing as the cop was after the guy right after he crossed the street with the beer, I assume that’s the case in the video below. 

Admittedly, it’s kind of a comical scene. And as is usually the case with these types of videos, the choice of soundtrack makes it even funnier.  

Take a bow, officer!
