Pumped up the Chapin Husky football team is ready for battle in the second week of Chapin football. Coming off a tough loss last week, it is critical that Chapin Huskies don’t lose focus. Ready for Friday’s game, Chapin is taking on Rio Rancho Cleveland New Mexico’s second ranked high school football team. Kickoff for this Friday night‘s match up will be at 7 p.m. at Irvin High School.

“I’m excited to play R.R. Cleveland. They are going to be tough competition but I’m going to go and execute plays to help for a Chapin victory,” said Chapin wide receiver Brandon Moss.

Overall the Chapin Husky football team is very solid but there are some points that players said they need to step on.

“We need to get better at locking on receivers in man and zone coverages,” said cornerback DeAntre’ Spencer.

Although the Husky football team may think they are prepared, there are still things they can work on to make them a better team.

“A major point we are working on this week in practice is the film study." Max Flores said. " We also can’t look back on last week’s loss to Mayfield."
