The El Paso Museum of Art is doing its part to try and help families with more fun, virtual activities for you to do. Currently, the El Paso Museum of Art is closed to the public due to the pandemic with no word on when they will e reopening their doors to the public. But don't think the museum staff is sitting around just waiting to reopen, they're working on fun, at-home, and virtual activities El Pasoans can do in the meantime.

The museum will be holding online workshops led by some of the best local artists that you can participate in. The best part? These workshops are absolutely free and will have various types of art you can enjoy, from jewelry making to oil painting. These workshops will provide step-by-step instruction and be interactive, so students can ask questions and gain a better knowledge of the art they're creating. Here are the virtual workshops you can participate in:

  • Still Life Acrylic Painting
  • Anamorphic Drawing
  • Ceramic Incense Burner
  • Moiré Patterns
  • Narrative Jewelry
  • Oil Painting Portrait

More workshops will be announced through the El Paso Museum of Art's social media pages. Keep checking them for more updates in the future. If you're unable to attend the workshops, there are also several downloadable activities you and your family can enjoy at the Virtual Family Guide link on their website.
