Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant made an appearance at the 2013 Sports and Get Expo, and countless Cowboys fans came to meet one of the NFL's elite players.

To put it in the simplest terms, the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino was a zoo!  People arrived as early as 9am to wait in a line that had to be 2 blocks long or more to get one of the only 300 available spaces in line to meet Dez Bryant.  Cowboys fans were literally everywhere around the track from the Turf Club, to the casino, to the signature showroom.

The Sports and Get Fit Expo got underway at 11am as Mando "The Monster" Medina and Chad Middleton interviewed Cowboys fullback Lawrence Vickers.  He also signed autographs for fans after his appearance on 600 ESPN El Paso.

Throughout the day people were treated to an abundance of fun activities related to sports, and free health screenings were conducted as well.  As for the main attraction Dez Bryant, I had the opportunity to talk with him for about 15 minutes.  He was a humble and genuine individual.  We spoke about his determination and hard work ethic.  I mentioned to him that I heard he was already practicing with Tony Romo at Valley Ranch, and he said that it's important that the team be fully prepared for the up coming season.

He also mentioned that the Cowboys fan base in El Paso was "crazy" and he was overwhelmed with the turnout.  Dez said that he couldn't wait for next season to start.  Overall the 2013 Sports and Get Fit Expo was a tremendous success, it was an event that Cowboys fans will not soon forget.
