So on Friday night during the Chicago Cubs/St. Louis Cardinals game, MLB announcer Bob Costas said something very offensive to describe the type of game that Cubs pitcher Pedro Strop was having. Strop, who played so bad, he only lasted only a third of an inning before being replaced.

This prompted Costas to rip into Strop as he was making his way to the dugout.

“It’s not [Cubs pitching coach Chris] Bosio this time, it’s [Cubs manager Joe] Maddon, and that means a change. [Reliever Jason] Motte is on his way in. Strop is on his way out, pointing toward the heavens. We can only ask or wonder that he is asking some departed relative for forgiveness for this atrocious performance.”

As you'd expect, Costas got ripped for what he said and has reached out to the Cubs organization so that he could apologize to Strop in person.
