If you watched UTEP and UAB on CBS College Sports this afternoon, you were treated to one of the most memorable games in years. First, it was Christian Polk's 30-footer to force overtime. About 15 minutes later, Randy Culpepper's desperation 3-pointer from the corner forced a second overtime. It was one of those games that you hoped would never end. Unfortunately, the game ended in triple overtime and the Miners were on the losing end of the contest. It took another 3-point bomb, but this time from UAB's 6-1o big man Cameron Moore to finally put UTEP away. Despite the loss, I was extremely impressed with the effort Tim Floyd's team displayed on the court. Claude Britten was tremendous in the second half and overtime sessions. The Miners' performance should everyone hope that this team will be able to win plenty of C-USA games and have a big chance to return to the NCAA Tournament.
