What does Canutillo High School and Boise State University have in common?  They both have a blue football field!  Canutillo christened their brand new blue football field on Friday night with a 34-0 victory over Ysleta.

Most people may find a blue field in football to be rather strange to say the least.  I must say that prior to seeing the new blue field at Canutillo I was skeptical as well.

Once you walk into Lowenburg stadium the field really stands out and compliments the mavelous facility that the stadium is.  It seems like Canutillo is already comfortable on the new surface as their QB Carlos Guillen rushed for 105 yards on 13 carries, and scored 2 touchdowns.

It was truly a memorable homecoming home openor for the eagles as they defended their new turf in style.  Canutillo fans had to wait until the final day of September to root for their team at home, but it seems that their patience paid off.  I walked on the new blue field after the game and must say it is an amazing surface.  It was cushioned, and quite comfortable to walk on.   Canutillo did an outstanding job and  football fans will love the new surface.  I recommend you go check it out, it is truly unique.
