We now find ourselves in the final two days of the 2014 World Cup.  On July 12, we have the Third Place match between the hosts Brazil and the surprising Belgium.  On July 13, we close out the tournament with the Championship match pitting Germany and Uruguay.

Will a Eurpean team find success for the first time in the Western Hemisphere or will history repeat itself with Uruguay winning it all in Brazil yet again?  Will tiny Belgium shock the Brazilians for third place or will the Brazilian players find the proper motivation and still show up to play to their full capabilities?  Let's breakdown the match-ups and see how each one will turn out.

Third Place: Brazil vs Belgium-  After losing a tough match against Germany, denying them a trip to the final, the Brazilians will come determined to not be embarrassed in the Third Place match.  Look for Neymar to score at least two goals, with Oscar adding another.  Belgium will not be shut out as Hazard might put in a couple goals himself.  At the end, Brazil will come out on top of what will be a very entertaining Third Place game.

Championship: Germany vs Uruguay-  Many believe this match-up goes in Germany's favor hands down.  While both squads have superb offenses, the Germans seem to have the better defense.  Uruguay biggest question mark going into the tournament is their defense, but Suarez and Cavani will will the Uruguayan side to this point.  I believe that their determination will keep the Germans out of the goal just enough to pull out the victory.  Unlike in 2010, when Spain and Netherlands went scoreless for almost two hours of play (before Andres Iniesta scored), Uruguay and Germany will score early and often.  This final will be high scoring and will bring excitement to very end.  Each squad will trade a few goals throughout the first 90 minutes.  They might even trade a goal each in extra time.  In the end, I believe Uruguay will find themselves hoisting the beautiful World Cup trophy and win it all in Brazil again.  Final will 4-3 in extra time, advantage Uruguay.
