White Sox Announcer Takes Exception to Pitcher Being Ejected
Longtime Chicago White Sox announcer Ken ‘The Hawk’ Harrelson has the reputation of being one of the biggest homer announcers in all of sports. Anyone who has watched at least a handful of White Sox telecasts has heard the many ‘hawkisms’ that Harrelson will impart over the course of nine innings.
On Wednesday, ‘The Hawk’ took exception to White Sox hurler Jose Quintana being thrown out of Chicago’s game against Tampa Bay in the fourth inning. Quintana threw at Tampa Bay’s Ben Zobrist in retaliation to White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski getting beaned earlier in the game.
The Hawk enjoys questioning the young umpires’ competency and knowledge of the game of baseball.
