The 2016 NBA Slam Contest is going to go down as one of the best ever in history. Minnesota Timberwolves' Zach Lavine was able to defeat Orlando Magic's Aaron Gordon after they basically went into a double dunk-off. That was after they both had perfect scores at the end of the finals. Some will argue that Gordon got robbed by the judges, but the decision is final -- Lavine is the two-time champion.

Many people started to compare this competition to the 1988 one in which Michael Jordan took on Dominique Wilkins. So did the NBA -- they put together the sweet video above in which they have mashed up two of the greatest Slam Dunk Contests in NBA history, Michael Jordan vs. Dominique Wilkins in 1988 and Zach Lavine vs. Aaron Gordon in 2016.
