When you ask a player on a team what he feels like the team is he'll most likely say "Brotherhood" or a "Family". Well that's not the case so much anymore in this day and age. Former Wake Forest Assistant Coach and now (before getting fired) Demon Deacon's Radio Analyst Tommy Elrod has not only been relieved of his duties from the broadcaster's booth but also banned from the school's athletics department and facilities.

This all stems from an investigation that was opened up after the loss to conference foe Louisville on November 12 and after a member of the Wake Forest travel team noticed there were documents regarding the team's game plan at the home stadium of the Cardinals. Not only does this look bad for the school but it also raises concern as to whether or not the teams that may have received these documents should have their wins vacated. There is a possibility that the leaking of confidential game documents could have been going since 2014. Being the analyst for a team he not only provided the fans with an aspect from a former player's point of view, but he also gave those fans trust in him by being the voice for the Demon Deacons. Now those fans don't know what to believe.

A bit more on Elrod, he was a former player at the school from 1993 to 1997 and after graduation he joined the staff to be a graduate assistant. Following that tilt he became the QB coach and then turned that job into an assistant coach for Wake Forest when Jim Grobe was the main man before Grobe was fired following the 2013 season. He did not have to wait long after that to find a new job as he became the school's radio analyst in 2014 for Wake Forest IMG Radio Network.

If there is any good of this for the Demon Deacons it is that Wake Forest started an investigation on their own. They did not want to have to face the consequences for knowing about it while doing nothing about it. Although all of the details have not been released yet, it is still bad publicity for the school.
