EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The quarterback carousel in Minnesota is staying put for another week. Christian Ponder will be the starter at Green Bay.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier announced his decision on Wednesday, and Ponder made this sound like it wasn't much of a decision at all. Ponder said Frazier didn't tell him he was keeping the job. He just assumed the spot was still his.

Ponder's status was in question after he had three more turnovers last week in a loss at Seattle. After throwing his second interception in the fourth quarter, Ponder was pulled for Matt Cassel. But Frazier said he believes Ponder gives the Vikings the best chance to beat the Packers, ahead of Cassel and Josh Freeman.
