The UTEP Miners have made it a point to be more physical this season under Tim Floyd. Tuesday night it showed against an old WAC foe as the Miners downed Colorado State, 82-74. Check out the post-game reaction from Floyd, plus UTEP's Julian Washburn and Vince Hunter.

Floyd beat his old disciple, Larry Eustachy, who took over for Floyd at Iowa State when the UTEP head coach took the same job with the Chicago Bulls. Eustachy was also at Southern Miss before taking over in Fort Collins, CO, before last season.

Eustachy returned the Rams to the NCAA Tournament where they upset Missouri before getting blown out by eventual national champion Louisville in the second round.

The 3-1 Miners are trying to return to the Big Dance for the first time under Floyd, and it appears some solid recruiting -- including Hunter, the 6-8 freshman forward -- is beginning to pay some dividends. Hunter had a game-high 15 rebounds against the Rams

UTEP dominated the glass, out-rebounding CSU, 53-36, including a season-high 19 offensive rebounds.

The Miners host NMSU in the Battle of I-10, Part 2, this Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. MST.
