On Friday at 7pm, the UTEP football team will hold their annual Spring Game at the Sun Bowl. It concludes five weeks of practice that began on March 3rd. Miners head coach Sean Kugler joined Sportstalk yesterday and gave a position by position breakdown of his team through spring practices.

"(Showers) had an outstanding Spring. He really throws a nice, deep ball and that was on display all spring. He really got a good grasp of the offense and Jameill is now taking steps toward being a leader on the team."

"But the guy that really stood the most this spring and he may be out this Spring Game because he's ill is Jarrad Shaw. Jarrad didn't play much last year because we didn't do much with 11-man personnel and three wide receivers. But we've implemented quite a bit of that into our offense and he's the slot. He had the most catches and most touchdowns this Spring."

"I think linebacker position, when its all said and done, will be the most improved position on the entire team."
