UTEP met up with old WAC rival Colorado State Saturday night at the Sun Bowl.  The game was homecoming for the Miners and 31,000 fans were entertained to a 31-17 UTEP win. The game featured a rare moment when the lights when out at halftime. To make matters worse, the "blackout" took place while the homecoming king and queen were heading the the 50-yard line. After a 15-minute delay, UTEP officials were able to get the lights turned back on and the Miners improved to 4-3 this season.
