If anybody wondered whether or not selling beer at UTEP football games would be a good idea, the figures from Saturday's Tulane game suggests it was. More than $28,000 in beer sales were generated, a pretty impressive figure given the attendance figure of 23,234 at the Sun Bowl. Beer was being offered at $7 for 16 ounces and $9 for 24 ounces. No word on whether UTEP officials will look to expand beer sales to include imports or craft beers. Athletic Director Bob Stull did tell the El Paso Times that he's considering a beer-free family section for future home games. Good move, Bob.
