UTEP announced its participants for Saturday's Dunk Challenge and Three-Point Shootout. Newcomers Isiah Osborne and Trey Wade will challenge returnee Paul Thomas in the dunk challenge. The three-point shootout includes a field of six, with holdovers Jake Flaggert, Omega Harris and Trey Touchet joining incoming recruits Evan Gilyard, Kobe Magee and Osborne.

The festivities start at 5pm Saturday at the Don Haskins Center. Following the dunk challenge and three-point shootout, the newcomers will challenge the returnees in a 40-minute scrimmage. For the first time ever, fans will be able to vote on the starting lineup for the first game in Costa Rica by filling out a ballot (available as they enter the arena) and dropping it in the ballot box in the East concourse of the arena. The Miners will sign complimentary 2017-18 schedule posters on the court for fans following the scrimmage.

General admission tickets are on sale now for $10, with proceeds benefiting the team's upcoming trip to Costa Rica next week. They can be purchased by visiting the UTEP Ticket Center or by calling (915) 747-5234.
