Muse, a 6-2, 200-pound signal caller, played his high school football at Timberview in Mansfield, Texas before enrolling at Tyler Junior College. He threw for 5 touchdowns and 475 yards in 6 games last season at Tyler JC. The addition of Muse could give UTEP head coach Sean Kugler the opportunity to redshirt sophomore quarterback Kavika Johnson. The former Las Cruces Mayfield star played in nine games for the Miners as a true freshman. Johnson is also battling Fresno State transfer Zack Greenlee and former Andress star Ryan Metz for the team's starting quarterback job.
