For the second consecutive FIFA Women's World Cup Tournament, the United States  is going to the Women's World Cup championship game.

The game was scoreless until Carli Lloyd converted a penalty kick in the 69th minute and then cemented the USA's victory as she assisted on Kelley O'Hara's goal late in the match that gave the U.S  2-0 victory over Germany in the semifinal in Montreal. Goalkeeper Hope Solo recorded her fifth straight shutout.

The United States now has to wait to see who they play on Sunday afternoon. They will face the winner between England and the defending Women's World Cup champion Japan who play on Wednesday night
