3 days after he defended his UFC light heavyweight championship by beating Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, Jon "Bones" Jones has checked into drug rehab facility.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission confirmed that Jones failed a drug test on December 4th. Jones had benzoylecgonine in his system which the main metabolite of cocaine. Since benzoylecgonine isn't banned out of competition, Jones couldn't be penalized by the NSAC.

Jones was apologetic for testing positive for cocaine.

"I want to apologize to my fiancee, my children, as well as my mother, father, and brothers for the mistake that I have made. I also want to apologize to the UFC, my coaches, my sponsors and equally important to my fans. I am taking this treatment program very seriously."
