BALTIMORE (AP) — Brett Oberholtzer earned his first major league win, Jason Castro hit a grand slam and the Houston Astros beat the Baltimore Orioles 11-0 last night. Matt Dominguez homered and had a career-high four hits for the Astros. Houston built a 9-0 lead in the fourth inning and coasted to their most lopsided victory of the season.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Adrian Beltre led off the bottom of the ninth for Texas with a home run to beat the Los Angeles Angels 2-1 last night. The win completed a three-game series sweep in which the Rangers won each on game-ending homers. Rangers closer Joe Nathan struck out two in the top of the ninth to win for the second night in a row.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Nelson Cruz was in the Texas Rangers lineup despite uncertainty of whether he would be suspended by Major League BaseballRangers manager Ron Washington and general manager Jon Daniels say they've heard nothing official about Cruz's status. MLB is expected to announce discipline for several players by the end of the weekend.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — TCU senior quarterback Casey Pachall says he has matured after his time away from school to participate in a substance-abuse program. Pachall says he was "actually very grateful" for what happened. Pachall was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and left school in October for a treatment program.
