After months of speculation, Topgolf announced today that they will begin construction in the next few months on their 10th Texas location in west El Paso. The 65,000 square foot venue is expected to be open to the public by the end of 2017. The Topgolf facility will consist of three levels, 3,000 square feet of private meeting space, and 102 climate controlled hitting bays that can hold up to six players at one time.

"El Paso is a vibrant and fast-growing city that is ideal for Topgolf," said Topgolf Director of Real Estate Development Devin Charhon. "The concept has been very well-received in other markets across the state, so we are excited to expand our Texas footprint while also having the opportunity to access the population in Mexico."

Charon estimates that more than 450,000 visitors, many of whom are first-time golfers, will be playing in the new El Paso location in its first year.

"As Mayor of El Paso, I am proud to welcome Topgolf to our community," said Oscar Leeser. "Their expansion efforts will bolster new economic development opportunities that will strengthen our economic climate. Today’s announcement is another example of how El Paso is open for business and how the City Council is committed to improving our quality of life amenities."

Topgolf will create more than 500 full and part time jobs in El Paso, and according to a third party audit, the city's economic output will exceed $265 million during a 10-year period.
