“Today Show” Confuses Michael Vick for Former Texas A&M Quarterback [Video]

Television is a mostly visual medium.  Television news is very formulaic.  Anchor reads script, accompanied by B-roll (appropriate footage).

Recently, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was on “The Today Show” to promote his new book, “Finally Free.”  As Matt Lauer was conducting the interview, the shows’ director thought it would be a good idea to run some B-roll of Vick practicing.

There was just one little problem.  The video was of former Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson, who wore number 8 before getting cut by the Eagles last summer.  This deserves a giant, “C’mon man!”
