It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since one of the most memorable fights in baseball history too place in Arlington, Texas. The Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox were playing in the 3rd inning at old Arlington Stadium when 46-year old Nolan Ryan plunked 26-year old Robin Vuntura in the back with a fastball. Instead of heading to first base, Ventura charged the mound but had no idea what was waiting for him. The Rangers pitcher grabbed the White Sox third baseman in a headlock an started to punch him in the head. The fight was another example of how an old man could still punch the heck out of a younger challenger. Today, Ventura is in his second year as White Sox manager while Ryan is the CEO of the Rangers.
