Jay Cutler passed for 262 yards and two touchdowns, and the Chicago defense intercepted New York’s Eli Manning three times, as the Bears beat the Giants, 27-21, at Soldier Field on Thursday night. Chicago (4-2) remained atop the NFC North, while New York (0-6) stayed winless.

Manning threw interceptions on the Giants’ first two possessions of the game, including one that was returned 48 yards for a touchdown by Tim Jennings with 9:50 left in the first quarter. A 4-yard touchdown run by Brandon Jacobs later knotted the score at 7-7 heading into the second quarter.

The Bears raced out to a 24-14 halftime lead behind Cutler, who threw scoring passes of 10 and three yards to Brandon Marshall, each sandwiched around Manning’s 37-yard touchdown to Rueben Randle. Chicago kicker Robbie Gould added a 40-field goal before the half.

After Gould connected on a 52-yard kick early in the third quarter, Jacobs’ second touchdown run at the end of the period brought the Giants to within 27-21. However, New York was unable to sustain another drive, and the Bears wrapped up the victory when Jennings picked off Manning for the second time in the game with 1:54 to play.

Marshall finished with nine catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns for Chicago. Jacobs ran for 106 yards and two scores for New York. Manning threw for 239 yards, a touchdown and the three costly interceptions.
