This Week in Awkward Postgame Media Laughter [Video]

Post game press conferences are always a little tense and uneasy.  Nobody really wants to be there, and if the team lost the coach is in an especially foul mood.

There is a strange phenomenon that happens when a coach goes against the norm and says something mildly amusing.  The media roars in a laughter fitting of a Friar’s Club Roast.

Such an occurrence took place Wednesday night after UTEP’s 70-56 victory over East Carolina.

Everybody was raving about Julian Washburn’s reverse jam.

In his post game comments, Tim Floyd talked about Washburn’s growth as a player and made a mildly amusing comment about how he deserves some of the credit for Washburn’s dunk.

Watch and enjoy as hilarity ensues.
