Later this evening, the Miami Heat will try and avoid a disappointing end to their season when they host the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference Finals. I have no doubt in my mind that the Heat will win at home and advance to play the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. LeBron James will do his part to carry Miami like he has most of the season and playoffs. The South Beach supporting cast is another story entirely.

Two thirds of the Big 3 have not lived up to the hype against the Pacers. Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh have both under-performed, but are handling their offensive woes in completely different fashion. Wade says he needs more touches to regain his effectiveness and James needs to stop trying to carry the weight of the team on his shoulders. Bosh, on the other hand, apologized to his teammates for his lack of production and hopes to be more assertive in Game 7.

I've always thought that Bosh is more of a team player than Wade and their comments just support my opinion. It might not matter much tonight, but James might want to rethink his long term plans in Miami since he can opt out of the final two years of his contract after next season.
