One of the exciting things about next month's Taste of El Paso is that we get to sample some of the delicious offerings before the 2-day event on November 14th and 15th. Chad, Lauren, and I headed over to Ardovino's Desert Crossing late last week to get a sneak preview at one of El Paso's most well known Italian Restaurants.

The only tough decision for Ardovino's was what entree to serve at the Taste of El Paso. They chose their house-made three cheese cannelloni filled with local garden vegetables, topped with New Mexico raised lamb Bolognese, served with an organic romaine and organic vine riling tomatoes tossed in balsamic vinegar and unfiltered olive oil.

The three cheese combination was the perfect blend to the cannelloni and the salad was light and refreshing. There is no doubt that Ardovino's Desert Crossing will be a hit at the Taste of El Paso. Owner Marina Ardovino talks about what has made her restaurant such a success and why she believes in organic and local vendors.
