UTEP met up with old WAC rival Colorado State Saturday night at the Sun Bowl.  The game was homecoming for the Miners and 31,000 fans were entertained to a 31-17 UTEP win.

A Huge Win For the UTEP Football Team

The Miners gave their fans the type of performance they have been begging for yesterday afternoon in New Orleans. They dominated both sides of the ball, thoroughly destroyed their C-USA opponent, and ended a 12-game conference road losing streak against Tulane.

UTEP and Houston met in a rare Thursday night college football showdown at the Sun Bowl.  The game was nationally televised on the CBS Sports Network, but just 24,111 fans turned our for the rivalry match-up.
