When staying in a hotel, there is an expectation of privacy, right? Well, ESPN correspondent Erin Andrews lost that privacy big time in 2008 when video was taken of her naked through a hole in her hotel room wall and then leaked onto the Internet. Andrews is now filing suit.

Memphis Considers Suing NBA Over Lost Revenue from Lockout

With the NBA embroiled in a lockout, some cities are set to lose out on massive amounts of revenue, but Memphis is one city is looking to fight back.

The Memphis City Council approved a resolution on Tuesday that will reportedly “explore all options” to go after the league to recover losses; as the lockout rolls on, a lawsuit is increasingly possible.

Jim McMahon, 6 Other Former Players Sue NFL Over Concussions

Former quarterback Jim McMahon and six other former players say the NFL hasn’t done enough to address and ensure safety for its players. The effects of violent hits on players’ long-term health is widely known, yet, the players complain, the league hasn’t done enough to monitor players’ conditions. An NFL spokesperson responded denied that the league is acting irresponsibly.

The group hoped to recruit other retired and current players who are now dealing with a lifetime of consequences of concussions or other head-related injuries. Earlier in the summer, a group of 75 other players filed a lawsuit against the NFL, but this is the first potential class-action lawsuit of its kind.

University of North Dakota to Drop Its Fighting Sioux Nickname

The “Fighting Sioux” will be all but gone by the end of the year.

That was the ultimate decision that University of North Dakota officials made, heeding the call of the NCAA which said the term is offensive to Native Americans. They will retire the nickname of its athletics program and implement a new name for the school early next year. After private meetings were held with leaders of the NCAA, and amid mounting pressure, the school opted to back down and accept a name change.

Tobey Maguire Sued After Winning Over $300,000 In Illegal Poker Game

In what sounds like something straight out of a movie, RadarOnline is exclusively reporting that ‘Spider-Man’ star Tobey Maguire is the target of a lawsuit over a multi-million dollar, illegal poker game.

The suit, filed in Los Angeles, claims that Maguire won over $300,000 from hedge fund manager Brad Ruderman. Ruderman allegedly used some of the money he had earned from an illegal Ponzi scheme, in which he embezzled investor funds to pay off his debts. Now, the investors want their money back.

Man Sues Nail Salon for Charging Men More Than Women

Norris Sydnor III needs clean fingers to count all the money he’s hoping to collect.

The Mitchellville, Maryland man is suing a nail salon for $200,000, claiming discrimination because it charges men $1 more than women for a manicure.
