For our Thursday Night Football featured game, we will see two of El Paso's best football programs clash, as the Americas Trailblazers (4-1) get set to host Franklin (5-0) in the 1-6A district opener.

Time to take a break at the midway point of the high school season in El Paso. Most teams have week six off with the exception of a handful of games.

Week five of Texas High School football featured some thrillers, a few upsets and the final week of non-district games. Here's a rundown of the games:
