DALLAS (AP) — Mark Cuban is telling jurors in federal court about calls and emails he sent to the CEO of an Internet company shortly before he sold all his shares in the company.

The billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks began testifying Thursday in the government's insider-trading lawsuit. The Securities and Exchange Commission accuses him of using confidential inside information to dump his shares before the company announced news that sent the stock down.

Aaron Hernandez’ Cousin Pleads Not Guilty

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — A cousin of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to an accessory charge.

Tanya Singleton was held without bail after entering her plea Monday to a charge of conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact. Prosecutors say that in the days after the June killing of Hernandez's friend Odin Lloyd, she helped one of Hernandez's associates flee to Florida.

Aaron Hernandez’ Associate Indicted for Accessory to Murder

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — An associate of Aaron Hernandez has been indicted in Massachusetts on a charge of accessory to murder after the fact in the killing of a friend of the former New England Patriot.

Bristol District Attorney Samuel Sutter said Friday a grand jury indicted Carlos Ortiz on a single count in connection with Odin Lloyd's killing.

Cornell Lacrosse Team Suspended for Hazing

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) — Cornell University officials say its men's lacrosse team has been placed on temporary suspension for its fall season because of a hazing incident earlier this month.

Athletic Director Andy Noel announced Thursday that the team was placed on temporary suspension on Sept. 13. He says after an investigation into the incident, coach Ben DeLuca and his team were notified that all fall competitions are canceled.
