C-USA Grows with 5 New Schools

Conference USA made it official today adding five new schools to its roster. Beginning in 2013, UNC Charlotte, Florida International, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, and UT San Antonio will join UTEP as conference foes.

Miners Breeze Past Houston

Last year, the Miners played the Houston Cougars three times and they lost, 3 times.

This year however, is a different story to say the least.

Sunday afternoon at The Don Haskins Center, in front of 2977 very loud and loyal fans, the Miners produced what you might consider a very big statement by whipping Houston 87-43 and improve to 6-0 in C-USA and 17-2 overall

A $17 Million Loss for Conference USA

All season long, the Houston Cougars appeared to be closing in on their first ever appearance in the Bowl Championship Series. Cougars Quarterback Case Keenum and his team had played perfect football all season long, resulting in a 12-0 record and home field advantage in the Conference USA Championship game.

On Saturday night, October 29th, the UTEP Miners hosted Southern Miss in a C-USA showdown. The Golden Eagles won the game 31-13.

UTEP Football – Game 7 vs. Colorado State [PHOTOS]

UTEP met up with old WAC rival Colorado State Saturday night at the Sun Bowl.  The game was homecoming for the Miners and 31,000 fans were entertained to a 31-17 UTEP win.
