This is just cool. Owen Groesser is a middle school student who has Down Syndrome. He made his school's basketball team, but hadn't seen any action at all until the final game. But when he got in? Boom goes the dynamite!
After top-ranked Duke lost to N.C. State on Saturday night, the N.C. State fans stormed the court. A guy in a wheelchair was one of the first people out there...but he wasn't the last! He promptly got swallowed up by the crowd behind him.
UTEP's brutal non-conference schedule is finally over, and they are now entering conference play. The young Miners have not been great on the road the last two season, but they kicked off league play with a nine point win over Tulane.
Anyone who has followed UTEP basketball for any length of time know how fortunate we are to have Jon Teicher as the voice of the Miners. Teicher has a great feel for the games he calls, and knows when to convey excitement. Most of all, he DOESN'T SUCK!!!
