The El Paso Chihuahuas’ six-game winning streak came to an end Thursday after a 7-4 loss to the Fresno Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park. Chris Dominguez went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs in Fresno’s win.

 

Neither team scored until the bottom of the third when Dominguez launched his first home run of the night. The Grizzlies pushed ahead with four unearned runs in the sixth, plating all four runs with two outs after an error by El Paso’s Brooks Conrad earlier in the inning. The four-run rally included another two-run homer by Dominguez.

 

The Chihuahuas put together a late rally, scoring three times in the ninth on a two-run double by Alex Castellanos and an RBI groundout by Jonathan Galvez. Castellanos went 1-for-4 with three RBIs. Tommy Medica, Adam Moore and Tyler Greene had two hits each in the Chihuahuas loss. El Paso reliever Dennis O’Grady retired all four batters in his Triple-A debut after arriving to Fresno during the game from Double-A San Antonio.
