In anticipation of a new NFL season, we had the bright idea to try and cover all 32 teams over the next 32 shows.  We decided to start with the AFC West and kicked things off with the Kansas City Chiefs.

After a surprise 10-6 season and playoff berth in 2010, the Chiefs regressed to 7-9 in 2011.  Despite a multitude of injuries, and a late season coaching change, Kansas City finished the season 2-1 under interim coach Romeo Crennel.  Crennel got the gig on a permanent basis, and there is a lot of optimism for 2012.

Eric Townsend covers the Chiefs for the Chiefs Radio Network.  Townsend believes the 2012 version of the Chiefs will have the most offensive weapons they've had since Matt Cassel arrived in 2009.
