Best Known For Winner of more than 1,000 major league games as a manager, Jack McKeon managed the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds and Florida Marlins during a career that spanned various years from 1973 to 2011. While serving as the general manager of the Padres from 1981 to 1990, McKeon was nicknamed ‘Trader Jack’ for his frequent player deals. McKeon was named National League Manager of the Year both while with the Reds in 1999 and the Marlins in 2003. He managed the Marlins to the World Series championship in 2003.

Luis Tiant
Age: 72
Profession: Retired MLB Player
Best Known For: A three-time All-Star pitcher, Luis Tiant played for the Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and California Angels from 1964 to 1982. A native of Cuba, Tiant had a unique delivery that involved him turning his back to home plate before delivering the pitch. He was the starting pitcher for the Red Sox in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, which was eventually won by Boston on Carlton Fisk’s extra-inning home run.

Dale Sveum
Age: 49
Profession: MLB Manager / Retired MLB Player
Best Known For: Dale Sveum is the manager of the Chicago Cubs. He also managed the Milwaukee Brewers in 2008. Sveum played for seven teams during his playing career from 1986 to 1999.

Jonathan Papelbon
Age: 32
Profession: MLB Player
Best Known For: Jonathan Papelbon is a relief pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies. A five-time All-Star selection, Papelbon also played for the Boston Red Sox from 2005 to 2011, before signing a free agent contract with the Phillies. He was a member of the Red Sox team that won the World Series in 2007. Papelbon celebrated the Red Sox’ 2007 American League East title by Irish step dancing on the Fenway Park field.

Nicklas Backstrom
Age: 25
Profession: NHL Player
Best Known For: Nicklas Bäckström is a center for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League. He has played with the team since 2007. Backstrom plays on the same line as NHL superstar Alexander Ovechkin.
