We are just weeks away from the 2014 Winter Olympic Games at Sochi and already, we have some good rivalries developing in men's speed skating. Dutch skater Sjinkie Knegt does not like to lose. At the ISU European Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Dresden, Germany last Saturday, Russian Victor Ahn, a 3-time Olympic gold medalist, defeated Knegt both in the 500 meter finals and the 500 meter relay finals. Knegt was so mad about finishing second to Ahn in both races that he decided to salute the Russian, with the double bird. Knegt was immediately disqualified from the race despite finishing second. The classic photo of the double bird was captured and immediately became an instant hit on social media.

The best part about Knegt's gesture was that after throwing the double bird, he made a kicking gesture toward Ahn. I hope these two meet for Olympic gold in a few weeks in Sochi. Maybe Knegt will hire Jeff Gillooly to take out Ahn.
