Most of you have probably never heard of Southern Illinois University before last night. The Salukis have been one of the better mid-major basketball programs for years and they also happen to be the alma mater for our Townsquare Media General Manager, Brad Dubow. SIU lost their 8th game of the season last night to Murray State 73-65, and Salukis head coach Barry Stinson tore into his team in the postgame press conference.

SIU Athletic Director Mario Moccia told ESPN that he spoke with Coach Hinson after the tirade and his only regret was that his head coach mentioned one of his players by name. Fans in Carbondale seem to like Hinson's no-nonsense approach, and hope that he is able to turn around a program that is struggling to find its identity.
