The El Paso Chihuahuas season ended Sunday night in Fresno when the team lost their best of five playoff series to the Grizzlies. With the Triple-A season coming to a close, the San Diego Padres took four players from the Chihuahuas roster. The team announced today that they have recalled INF Javy Guerra, RHPs Kazuhisa Makita and Colten Brewer and LHP Brad Wieck. Wieck will wear #57 and the Padres now have 33 players on their active roster.

Of the four players promoted, Wieck is the only one making his first big league appearance. The 26-year old was 3-0 for El Paso in 17 games with a pair of saves. Guerra was called up to San Diego for a brief period in April while Makita and Brewer have been back and forth between El Paso and the Padres all season long. San Diego could expand their roster to a max of 40 players but it looks like many of the Chihuahuas' veteran players will not have the opportunity to get back to the major this season, barring any injuries.
