Robert Nkemdiche, the nation’s top-ranked prep football player, announced his intention to sign with Mississippi on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga. could give the Rebels and head coach Hugh Freeze a top 10 class on National Signing Day.

From SI.com writer Ben Glicksman -- "Nkemdiche’s decision could help sew up the commitments of other top 2013 prospects. Five-star offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil will sign with Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida State or Georgia. Four-star safety Antonio Conner will select Ole Miss or ‘Bama. And four-star offensive tackle Austin Golson will pick Ole Miss or Florida State.”

Nkemdiche's brother, Denzel, is a linebacker at Ole Miss. He was named a Freshman All-American in 2012.
