(EL PASO, TX) -- Peter Plesa and Brandon Edson each scored twice and new goaltender Oliver Gervais earned a shutout in his first game as the El Paso Rhinos dominated the Tulsa Junior Oilers, 11-0, Thursday night.

El Paso continues to be the only undefeated team remaining in the Western States Hockey League, improving to 16-0-0-0. The Rhinos' 32 points give them an 11-point lead over the Texas Brahmas. Tulsa falls to 5-12-0-0.

El Paso got scoring from nine different players Thursday. Joining Edson and Plesa were Chad Cesarz, David Nelson, Peter Plesa's brother Nick, team co-captain Dakota Beaulieu, Andrew Bradford, Jeremy Razaeepour and David Bures.

Though the Rhinos outshot the Junior Oilers, 46-10, Gervais' performance will give head coach Cory Herman confidence in his goalie situation as starting netminder Adam Vay readies to compete for his native Hungary at the World Junior Championships in Malmö, Sweden.

The teams will play twice more Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. MST as the Rhinos celebrate military appreciation weekend. El Paso's specialty jerseys will be auctioned off after Friday night's game and there will be free public skating with the Rhinos players after both remaining games. Fans can rent skates from the Rhinos skate center or bring their own.
