The New York Rangers completed a remarkable comeback with an overtime goal in game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals to defeat the Capitals 2-1.  Washington squandered a 3-1 series lead, while the Rangers had never lost a game 7 at home as they kept that impressive streak alive.  The Capitals have now blown a 3-1 series lead five times, meaning that fans in the District were certainly not happy campers as their playoff disappointment continued.  Derek Stepan scored the game winning goal at the 11:24 mark in overtime, sending the Rangers to face Tampa Bay in their third Eastern Conference Finals in the past four seasons.
