Thirty-eight year old knuckleballer R.A. Dickey became the most unlikely winner of the Cy Young award EVER.  I don't care what anyone says, 38 year old knuckleballers with their fourth team DO NOT win Cy Young Awards.

Dickey, however, was deserving of the award.  He went 20-6 with a 2.73 E.R.A. and a league leading 230 strikeouts.  Only fireballers Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer had more K's than Dickey.  Dickey earned 27 of 32 first place votes, and easily out distanced last year's winner, Clayton Kershaw.

The A.L. voting was much tighter.  Tampa Bay's David Price defeated defending award winner Justin Verlander 153-149.  As always, Verlander was deserving, but Price had a career high 20 wins and the lowest E.R.A. in the A.L. (2.56).
