The Pittsburgh Penguins knocked off the Tampa Bay Lightning in a hard fought 7 game series to make their first return trip to the Stanley Cup Final since defeating Detroit for the cup in 2009.  Bryan Rust scored both goals for the Penguins in their  2-1 victory over the Lightning, and netminder Matt Murray made 16 saves.  Tampa Bay was attempting to make a return trip to the Stanley Cup Final, last season the Lightning lost in 6 games to the Chicago Blackhawks, and expectations were extremely high for the team this season.

The Penguins will face the San Jose Sharks in the Stanley Cup Final, game 1 is on Monday night in Pittsburgh.  It is the first ever appearance by the Sharks in the Cup Final, they defeated St. Louis in 6 games in the Western Conference Finals, while Pittsburgh is attempting to win their fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history.
